This case study aims to demonstrate how The Bark Wood by Hostay was verified on Google My Business to increase calls and raise awareness. By enhancing its online presence, the goal was to attract more guests and boost engagement and bookings.
The study will outline the steps, challenges, and successes in enhancing our online visibility. We aim to highlight our growth in customer satisfaction and business performance, proving that strategic online efforts can greatly benefit hospitality businesses.
Starting Issues
Several operational challenges were faced, including not receiving many customers due to high competition in Tirthan Valley. The change of the business name from “Hostay” to “The Bark Wood by Hostay” also caused confusion and necessitated significant efforts to re-establish the brand identity.
Customer Satisfaction
Customer feedback indicated issues related to service quality. Ensuring consistent hospitality standards and addressing specific feedback promptly became crucial for maintaining customer satisfaction and encouraging repeat visits.
Marketing and Visibility
Significant challenges were posed by attracting customers and maintaining visibility in a competitive market. Creating an online presence for our newly named business was deemed essential. A new Google My Business account needed to be established and optimized to improve online visibility and effectively reach potential guests.

We optimized our Google Business Profile, ensuring all information was current and engaging. We started posting 8 updates monthly to highlight different aspects of The Bark Wood by Hostay, like the beautiful views, amenities, and special offers. We encouraged guests to leave reviews, which brought in over 10 new reviews each month. This greatly improved our online visibility and helped us rank higher for more keywords.
Regular Works –
Regular post updates and images were uploaded as part of the solutions implemented. Additionally, responses to reviews were crafted, and efforts were made to establish good citations on online directories. Performance tracking and more were also undertaken.
